Tonda Eleta Wilson

Hostess

Tonda Eleta Wilson is Founder and President of Glory Cosmetics & Image Consulting. She manages a multi-layered business enterprise that includes an extensive global cosmetic line, individual image consulting, modeling instruction, corporate image seminars, television make-up artistry, wedding and bridal party coordination. She also produces and commentates upscale fashion productions. She has produced fashion productions various groups such as J. C. Penney stores-African American women on tour, N.K.B.A. (National Kitchen and Bath Association convention), N.B.A. (National Basketball Association for Little Cities Foundation), Ella Flag Young Administrators Association, Delta Sigma Theta Jabberwock Chicago Alumni Chapter, Christos Furs of Westchester, IL and numerous churches, schools and social clubs.

Tonda has been the principal actress in television commercials for First Metropolitan Builders and Carpets. She also has written scripts for television commercials, including the script for Imagination Cosmetics, sharing the stage with Roosevelt Cartwright, Oprah Winfrey’s makeup artist. Her background in modeling and finishing spawned from a family-owned finishing school. This experience introduced Tonda to business and an entrepreneurial spirit as a child.

Mrs. Wilson's educational background started at Fisk University, Lincoln University and Indiana University, respectively, where she majored in speech and drama, and ended with international studies. Tonda studied Spanish in South America at Valencia, Merida, and Caracas, Venezuela. She attended Domaine University in Grenoble, France where she studied French.

Mrs. Wilson is married to former Chicago Bulls basketball player, Bobby Wilson. The Wilsons lived and traveled extensively throughout Europe and South America while Bobby played professional basketball on these continents. Tonda has also lived in Bologna, Italy and Grenoble, France. Tonda and Bobby have a daughter, Javairo Veleta Wilson.

Tonda is a Christian woman. Her beliefs have inspired her to write a teaching manual on image and social graces. The teaching manual is used in her seminars or as a text book. Tonda has a book written that has yet to be published on scripture correlation for prayer on individual subjects of concern. She also conducts a motivational seminar geared toward the Christian audience on the inner and outer correlation of the woman of God.

Tonda previously sat on two corporate boards, The American Society of Women Entrepreneurs of which she was the only African American board member, and the Rose Garden Community Services, Inc. Mrs. Wilson is currently a member of the Dusable Museum Women’s Board where she serves as the First Vice President

DJ Galaxie

DJ Galaxie has been a fixture in the Chicago Dj community for the last several decades. Originating from the South Side of Chicago, Galaxie began DJing at a very young age, spinning her father’s soul/R&B vinyl LPs to an audience of one-herself. As musical styles changed, Galaxie became influenced by diverse acts like Prince, Bob Marley, and The Police.

During, the Chicago House music explosion of the mid-1980’s, Galaxie promoted local parties for many legendary House Deejays. From alt-rock to smooth jazz to underground dance music, Galaxie breaks all genres with a mix of diverse styles. DJ Galaxie regularly performs at events in the Chicagoland area and virtual globally, such as City of Chicago’s Millennium Park At Home 2020 -Chicago Gospel Music Virtual Experience with house gospel mixes. Galaxie also post re-mixes of all genres on her social media for the love of musical experimentation. Space jam through the stars with Galaxie!

Marqueal Jordan

A Los Angeles native who spent his teen years in Kansas City, KS, Marqueal has been based in the music-rich city of Chicago since 1995. Moving to the Windy City after earning a Business Administration degree at the University of Kansas, Marqueal began paying dues by playing gigs in every musical style imaginable. In those early years, he earned his reputation as a seasoned and magnetic performer. Marqueal was the front man for the critically acclaimed local original band, Fat Time, and a member of the spin-off band, Starcandy. By the early 2000’s, he was highly in demand to perform with the top musicians and bands in the city.

In 2008, Marqueal met Smooth Jazz star Brian Culbertson. Impressed by his playing and singing, Brian offered Marqueal a spot in his touring band. Over the next 10 years, Marqueal traveled the world with Brian, appeared in two DVDs, and was featured on four albums. The exposure gave him the confidence and desire to become a solo artist..

Marqueal’s solo debut album, Catalyst, was released in October 2013. It helped to establish him as an emerging artist in Smooth & Contemporary Jazz. After leaving Brian Culbertson’s band in the summer of 2018 to focus on his solo career, he recorded his second project, Intention & Purpose. Released in February 2019, the album is a musical journey through Contemporary Jazz, Soul/R&B and Hip Hop, and it showcases his growing skills as a songwriter, arranger and producer. The album yielded two Top 20 hits on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Singles Chart, “If You Only Knew” and “The Edge”. Currently, Marqueal is working on his third solo album, All We Have Are Moments, which is scheduled to drop in Spring 2021. The lead single for that album, “Last Call”, will be released on March 12, 2021..

In addition to leading and touring with his own band, Marqueal has shared the stage with some of the greats in music, performing with legends such as: Gerald Albright, Patti Austin, Peabo Bryson, Jonathan Butler, Will Downing, George Duke, Candy Dulfer, Floetry, Aretha Franklin, Larry Graham, Buddy Guy, Lalah Hathaway, The Isley Brothers, Al Jarreau, Joe, KRS-One, Kenny Lattimore, Maysa, Frank McComb, Marcus Miller, Najee, Mike Phillips, Eric Roberson, David Sanborn, Jill Scott, Isaiah Sharkey, Sy Smith, and Kirk Whalum. He still performs locally with Brother John Kattke, and with Midnight Sun Band. Marqueal also collaborates with Chicago-based artist/producer DJ I.N.C., and is featured on numerous projects of I.N.C.’s over the last 20 years..

Marqueal was proud to be recognized by the Chicago Defender as a Man Of Excellence in 2014. Father, mentor and friend to many, Marqueal Jordan is a humble man who is focused on achieving greatness through his music and his deeds.

DJ Maurice ICE Culpepper

Maurice’s talent for making people feel good with music was discovered long before he knew that he wanted to do this for a living. Growing up he would put records on to make his family dance and feel good. It wasn’t till he got to college that he put this talent to the test and begin doing basement parties for $25 a set using his car speakers. Through this he established a name that would stick with him thru basketball and mixing beats. “Ice” so befitting his talent and moves on the court has been a DJ for 25 years.

Maurice was born on the Westside and grew up on the Southside of Chicago in a neighborhood called Grove Heights. Maurice attended Harlan High School, Olive Harvey College and graduated from Aurora University. In his “Younger years” Maurice Could be caught skating every weekend with his brother Mark and sisters Marcia and Michelle At places like Markham, The loop, and Glendale Roller rinks. It was on one of the skating trips and along with Saturday night Fever that he knew he wanted to be a D.J. There he saw legendary greats like Herb Kent "the Cool gent" and Richard Pague. “I was hooked when I heard two records going together”! is how this journey started. Now Maurice is taking the Windy City by storm and turning heads at clubs along the eastern seaboard, DJ ICECULEPPPER has earned himself a spot on the books at many of the country's largest nightclubs. A welcomed addition to the music scene, Ice has unleashed the energy of his music onto dance floors around the world around for over 25 years.

Maurice has learned the fundamental rules of mixing various styles of music, remixing, using His own equipment, and playing for a variety of crowds. Thus starting his own production company in 2001 Culpepper Productions. DJ Maurice“ICE”Culpepper is completely self taught in using mixing software to create his mixes and to mix live. Although he has been a DJ for 25 years, he has learned much from the best DJs and has since have one of the more popular and successful radio mix-shows. His radio mixes can be heard daily by over 245 million listeners per month and 1 million a day in Chicago.
